Air Purifiers and air quality tips
There is, most likely, an air purifier in your home or at work. How can we help to increase their efficiency even further?
An air purifier is a device that helps improve indoor air quality by removing contaminants from the air. Air purifiers work by pulling air through a series of filters that trap and remove these pollutants, circulating cleaner air back into the room.
Contaminants can include:
-
dust
-
pollen
-
pet dander
-
bacteria and viruses
-
mold spores
-
smoke particles and other airborne particles or gases.
The key functions of an air purifier are:
-
Filtering Particles: Most air purifiers use High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filters to capture particles as small as 0.3 microns, including allergens and pollutants.
-
Capturing Odors and Gases: Some air purifiers use activated carbon filters to adsorb odors, gases, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from the air.
-
Killing Germs and Bacteria: Some air purifiers use ultraviolet (UV) light or other technologies to kill germs, viruses, and bacteria that pass through the unit.
-
Improving Air Circulation: By circulating air through the filters, air purifiers help improve overall air circulation in a room, which can reduce stagnant air and help prevent the buildup of indoor pollutants.
How can Germxit® products improve the efficiency of your air purifier?
Germxit Gel is designed to deal with biological pollutants, as well as their byproducts - i.e. unwanted odours. You can turn your air purifier from a simple "vacuum for air" into a complete air&surface pathogen control machine simply by placing a pack of Germxit® Gel inside the filter to

-
use the airstream to deliver TTO quickly and more efficiently
-
kill all the pathogens collected by the filter (and disinfect the filter itself)
-
remove musty smell and other unwanted odours much faster
How to get rid of musty smell in your bedroom, house or your car.
Musty, "stale" smells, the smells of "old buildings", - in most cases these are caused by mold&fungi. Sometimes your car interior can smell like this as well - if a liquid was spilled and dried up on the floor or seat. If water got inside your car interior for any reason - rest assured the smell will be there.
Germxit® Liquid was specifically designed to deal with this problem on surfaces. Remove the mats and spray the floor of the car lightly with Germxit® Liquid. There's no need to clean it. If possible, give it 5-10 minutes before putting the mats back (having washed the bottom side with water and soap).
You can do the same with the carpeting in your home, because in most cases this would be overlooked, and where the mold colonies are growing). Also, if there's air conditioning of any type (wall/ceiling mounted, ducted or not) - you can treat the cooling coils and duct grills/registers with the Liquid - spray sparingly and give it 10 minutes before turning the A/C back on. We promise, you will like the results.
Disclaimer: please keep in mind, that Germxit contains natural oil, that might leave stains on light coloured fabric or carpeting, so please use at your discretion.
